Aaron Muhs

Aaron Muhs is an Investment Advisor Representative and co-owner of Catalyst Financial NW. With a love of numbers and a drive to care for peoples’ financial planning needs, he is passionate about making sure everything is accurate. Aaron graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oregon State University in 2001 with a B.S. in Economics and minors in Mathematics and Naval Science. During his time in the College of Economics he was awarded the Outstanding Junior and Senior award for both 2000 & 2001. He was also the Top Senior Marine Option Midshipman for the US Marine Corps. ROTC program his senior year.

Aaron joined COUNTRY Financial as a Financial Representative in 2001. In 2004 he moved into management and over the next 7 years he hired, trained, and oversaw the day to day operations of a 20 person agency. In that time Aaron was awarded the All American Award which is the Top annual honor at COUNTRY Financial 7 times. In 2011 Aaron choose to become an Independent Advisor Representative and be able to work directly with clients once again. As an independent representative he feels it is a unique opportunity to work with individuals to plan and empower them to live in confidence that the financial decisions they are making are purposeful and wise.

Aaron and his wife Torey Muhs have 4 children which keeps them very busy on the weekends. Aaron’s favorite non-work activities include vacations to Hawaii, Oregon State Football games, & enjoying one of Portland’s diverse restaurants for dinner.

David Rasmussen

David Rasmussen is a Financial Representative and co-owner of Catalyst Financial NW. With a drive to get to know people and help them connect reality to their financial planning hopes and dreams, he is passionate about building long lasting relationships with clients. As a visionary and organizer he enjoys planning high quality educational (Evening With the Experts) and charity events. David graduated from George Fox University in 2000 with a B.A. in History.

Initially after graduating David joined with Young Life and directed and managed the start-up of the Wilson High School club in Portland Oregon. He recruited, trained and managed a volunteer staff that cared for over 150 kids. He was also responsible for fundraising the annual budget to pay for salaries, ministry expenses, and kid’s camp tuitions. In 2003 David and his wife Julie started Red Barn Nursery LLC a wholesale ornamental tree nursery in Boring Oregon. As a successful small business, Red Barn Nursery now employs 4 full-time employees that care for the day to day operations. David joined COUNTRY Financial in 2006 and had immediate success. In 4.5 years he was an All American Qualifier (Top Honor) 3 times, was the District Agent of the year, and ended in the top 5 out of 2,000 reps 2 times. Now as an independent representative David’s feeling of accomplishment and success comes from helping clients reach their financial goals and not from any company awards. David is passionate about helping clients navigate through their path to accomplish their financial dreams.

David is outnumbered 5 to 1 in his home with his wife Julie and their 4 daughters. As a once passionate outdoorsman and sports enthusiast, David has now learned how to sing every song from the movie Frozen and to let his daughters do his hair. David’s favorite activities are golfing, accomplishing a project on the weekend, and making up a new recipe in the kitchen.

Pam Prettyman

Pam Prettyman has been with the firm for over 30 years. Over the years her role within the firm has grown and evolved with the business. Currently Pam is licensed in Auto, Home, & Life, Health, Disability Insurance and is passionate about connecting client’s needs to the appropriate policy. She is also known for her attention to detail and uses this in caring for our client’s unique insurance needs. Day in and day out there is a joy about Pam that clients appreciate and enjoy working with.

Pam loves spending time with her 3 precious grandkids. She also enjoys outings with friends, dancing, boating, traveling with her husband, and she would be remiss if she didn’t mention wine tasting.

Cheryl Pierik

Cheryl Pierik joined us when Ann Stump retired after faithfully serving for 16 years. Cheryl received her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Business with honors from Seattle Pacific University, and is currently licensed in Life, Health, and Medicare Insurance. She has many years of administrative experience and serves our financial clients, managing and processing all the paperwork required for investment accounts. When you call, you will probably hear her voice! Details, organization, and research are her friends, and she enjoys implementing new technology to better serve the office and clients.

Cheryl also supports the family business with her husband Don, a local residential remodeling contractor, and has two college-age children that fill her heart with joy. Cheryl is active in her local church, facilitating small groups and participating in music and prayer ministry. She enjoys hiking in the beautiful northwest and loves good food!

Megan Wood

Megan has been with Catalyst Financial since 2017. She graduated with honors from The Master’s University in 2003 and went on to work for a radio station in California until she and her husband moved back to Oregon in 2005. Megan is licensed in Home and Auto Insurance and works with Pam to take care of our client’s insurance needs.

Megan and her husband Eric have three wonderful kids who keep life exciting! As a family they enjoy camping, hiking, and  traveling together. Megan also finds a lot of joy in watching her kids do the activities they love such as basketball, art, and music. She’s involved in her local church teaching in the Sunday School classes. You will also find her in her garden any time the Oregon weather cooperates!
